About Dee Doocey

Constituency: Londonwide. Elected on 10 June 2004.

Dee is Chair of the Economic Development, Culture, Sport & Tourism Committee, which is the lead committee on the Assembly for scrutinising the Olympics. Dee is also a Member of the Metropolitan Police Authority and serves on the Planning Performance & Review Committee.

From 1986 until 1994 Dee served as an elected councillor for the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, where she was Chair of the Housing Committee. She was previously Finance Director of the Liberal Party for ten years and Financial Advisor to the Liberal parliamentary party for eight years.

Dee gave up her business interests when she was elected to the London Assembly. She ran her own management consultancy specialising in advising blue chip companies how to improve cost effectiveness. She was previously Group Managing Director of an international fashion company with operations in London, Hong Kong and China.
