Commenting on the news that today's meeting of the London Assembly's Audit Panel will reveal that the former Tory Chair of the Assembly, and current Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden Brian Coleman spent over £8000 on taxis in one year.

Liberal Democrat Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon said:

" Tory Brian Coleman's taxi expenses are extraordinary given that he also gets an all -zone Travelcard too. At the meeting I shall be asking that the rules be tightened so that Assembly Members don't run up bills that, frankly, many hard pressed council taxpayers would find astonishing."
